HERE shows you local news about where you are. Walk around Philadelphia and receive stories about nearby art openings, the latest architecture critiques and recent real estate developments written by experienced journalists. These aren’t breaking news alerts—they’re on-your-block alerts.
Brought to you by the Lenfest Local Lab, and powered by some of The Philadelphia Inquirer’s best reporters, the app delivers you news based on your real-time location. It’s an app that lets local news find you.
You’ll receive news notifications about places as you pass by them. Here are the types of stories the app will send you:
• Architecture: When you’re passing a park in Old City thats slated for redevelopment, you’ll receive a story about how that plan will play out for neighbors and city residents.
• Arts: If you walk past a new mural, we’ll send you a story about the artist and how their work adds to the cultural fabric of our city.
• Real Estate: If a new apartment building or grocery store is coming to your neighborhood, you’ll know when you walk by that ground is being broken.
Alerting you to news stories that have been written about places you pass by can help you stay up to speed on what’s happening in your own backyard.
